The Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology excavated the Central Palace area of the citadel at Nirmud (ancient Assyria, present-day Iraq) between 1974 and 1976.
1974 Team

1975 Team

  • Stanislaw Iwaniszewski -- assisted during the last week of the season

Work lasted from October 13 until December 5, 1975.
1976 Team
  • Janusz Meuszynski -- field director, archaeologist, epigrapher (Meuszynski died in 1976; no excavations were carried out thereafter)
